Holiday Shop & Stroll

On Friday, December 4, bring the whole family to Downtown Statesville for the Holiday Shop & Stroll! From 5:30 - 8:30 pm, you can enjoy a fun evening of merchant open houses, stroll the sidewalks, and enjoy the sparkle of holiday lights. Enjoy a live nativity, and maybe experience a little snowfall magic. 

Downtown visitors can enjoy a Live Nativity at Broad Street United Methodist Church from 6 – 6:30 pm.

Santa’s Magic Mailbox will be on the front steps at City Hall during the Shop & Stroll in hopes that Statesville boys and girls will send him their lists! Once the letters are placed in the Magic Mailbox, they are special expressed straight to the North Pole! No need for a stamp!

And if you include your name and address, Santa will write you back a personal note to let you know he received your letter. The mailbox will be out Friday night at City Hall, 227 S. Center Street. Stop by and enjoy the building's festive decorations and take a selfie with the Nutcrackers standing guard at the door!

Horse Drawn Carriage rides (rain or shine) are available for purchase online with timeslots still available https://www.downtownstatesville.com/horse-drawn-carriage-rides

Also visitors can walk thru the Nostalgic Christmas Park on the grounds of the Historic Sharpe House from 5:30 – 9:30. Stroll through this pathway in the woods and enjoy the sights of new and old world Christmas lights and décor. Created and designed by Keith and the footmen, with special thanks to John Childress. Walk thru hosted by staff and volunteers, donations accepted.

The spirit of the season comes alive in Downtown Statesville on Thursday, December 3 and Friday, December 4 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm where you will find unique shops open late, restaurants and wonderful holiday activities guaranteed to put you in the spirit.
