A Day in the Life of Officer Solana Craig

Solana Craig is a familiar face to everyone downtown! He has been Statesville Police Department's Downtown Community Impact Officer for several years. What exactly does this mean? He serves as a liaison for the Downtown Statesville business district, conducts routine foot and bike patrols, and works closely with city officials, business owners and patrons to provide support and safety to the downtown area.

But Officer Craig does more than just keep the peace. He has formed relationships with the business owners, parents and kids at American Renaissance School, and always has a smile on his face for everyone he meets.
