William Blevins, or Billy Buck as most around town know him, was born and raised in Iredell County and is proud to call Statesville home. Graduated from West Iredell High School in 1976 and thereafter attended Appalachian State University. Billy's family is very important to him and is made up his beautiful wife, Sandra, and two great children, Ben & wife Sara and Katy & husband Josh Campbell, with 3 fabulous grand-children, Elena, Caleigh and Wyatt. Billy got started in in radio when he was only 16 years old and according to him "will most likely, never retire!"

On the DSDC Board of Directors, Billy is always there to offer a bit of comic relief and lend a helping hand. He is well known to fill in as the big man in red suit around the holidays, emcee any Downtown event with a stage and a microphone, and supply a spare PA system in a time of need. Billy is finishing up his first 3 year term on the board and plans to stick around a while more.
