The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce & DSDC Recognize Volunteers

Last Updated 6/13/2023In Downtown Businesses, Statesville News, Events

Downtown Statesville Development Corporation and The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce hosted their First Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party at The Watering Hole. The two organizations depend on volunteer hours for many of the events that both non-profits put on, but they share two events; The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After Five Concert Series and Statesville Pumpkin Fest. Just these events require 430 volunteer hours each year! "We are so fortunate to have such a caring and supportive community that allows us to continue doing these very popular events", says Liz Petree, Community Engagement Manager for DSDC. "Their dedication to our town is so humbling and heartwarming. We genuinely love each and every one."

To express their profound gratitude, both organizations came up with a few awards to honor those exceptional volunteers who demonstrated unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions throughout the year. These esteemed accolades served as a testament to the individuals who truly went above and beyond, dedicating their time, energy, and skills.
