23 Years Carolina Mountain Sports - 123 West Broad Street

Carolina Mountain Sports opened it's doors on October 1, 1998 and Richard Griggs, Sr. has been rockin' it ever since! With his outstanding selection of outdoor gear, and the only place to get your Boy Scout uniforms, patches and supplies, this place has it all! Richard is an expert fly-fisherman and brings in customers from all over to get his advice, take his classed and stock up on the latest lures and equipment. Stop by and congratulate him on 23 years in business!

88 Years Johnson Greenhouses - 204 Salisbury Road

Johnson Greenhouses has a very long history in Statesville, 88 years on October 1, to be exact, and still going strong! Ron and Cheryl Matthews took over the business in 2015 and have continued the tradition of  “Remembering our history while building on the future”. You can find so much more than beautiful plants and flowers at Johnson's. They offer an array of gifts for any occasion and the staff is quick to help you pick the perfect item for that special need you may have. It's no surprise that Johnson's is still thriving after all these years! Congratulations on 88 years of success!

4 Years Roots Outdoor - 201 W. Broad Street

Saturday, October 2, marks 4 years that Roots Outdoor has been a staple in Downtown Statesville. From the beginning, Nick and Amy Martin and Doug Roberts made Roots a favorite for locals by combing their love of community with their passion for the outdoors. They strive to provide quality products while maintaining a "mom and pop" feel. Not only does Roots have all the outdoor clothing you could ever dream of, they provide equipment rentals for those that are just wanting to dip their toe in the water or snow to see if they like it.  Ski and snowboard rentals are available during the winter months and Stand up paddle boards are available in the summer. Read more here about their big anniversary celebration! Cheers!
