We Love Our Volunteers!
The Chamber of Commerce and DSDC are so fortunate to be able to partner on events in Downtown and therefore, many people have volunteered for both of our organizations. We wanted to specifically take some time to celebrate the volunteers that we share for Flow Automotive Pumpkin Fest and Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5. On April 4, we hosted our 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party at The Watering Hole.
Each Piedmont HealthCareFriday After 5 concert takes a lot of effort and much of that falls on our volunteers. Each concert requires 56 hours of volunteer work – equaling 280 hours over the season.
Flow Automotive PumpkinFest is a ONE day event but requires 150 volunteer hours. IN ONE DAY! This is a huge event attended by over 15000 people last year and only happens because we have these amazing people to help!
We celebrated ALL of our volunteers but a few stood out this past year and we awarded them this years "Top Banana" Awards!
