Back to School

Last Updated 8/8/2023In Statesville News

It is that time of year-- the swimsuits are put back in the drawer, the alarms are set again, and the backpacks are pulled out of the closet floor. Students in Downtown and all around the area have gone, or will be going, back to school.

Back to school also means there will be more pedestrians, specifically children, crossing streets and loading into vehicles parked on the street. To ensure the safety of all children and adults in our community, please be more aware and careful when driving downtown, in neighborhoods, and in school zones. Keep your speed at a reasonable rate, and avoid any distractions in the car, especially the phone!
