Downtown is for the Dogs

Last Updated 8/26/2021Posted in Statesville News

It’s National Dog Day and what better way to celebrate than bringing your furry friend on a downtown trek! Grab your leash and start walking. With numerous puppy friendly shops and restaurants, you are sure to have a great time with your best friend while enjoying a great day of shopping and dining. To make your stroll through town more enjoyable for your pet, there are 3 dog water fountain bowls and 7 dog waste receptacles for your convenience.

Downtown has several restaurants that offer pet friendly outdoor dining, including Twisted Oak Bar and Grill, Pasta Amore, 220 Café, D’Laneys Bar & Grill, Broad Street Burger Co., Tacontento, and Smokin’ Southern Cantina. If you are in the mood for a refreshing brew, both Fourth Creek Brewing Co. and Red Buffalo Brewing Co. are dog lovers and welcome you and your pup inside or on the patio. Wine Maestro also allows you to bring your dog indoors for a glass of wine or cold beer while you shop or simply enjoy a visit with friends.
