The official lighting of the Downtown Statesville Christmas Tree is set for Thursday, December 5, 2024 in front of the Old County Courthouse. Enjoy classic holiday songs from 6pm - 7pm. Watch in delight as Santa arrives in style, thanks to AP Vintage Motors.

Santa and Mayor Kutteh countdown to light the tree at 6:45 pm.

We invite you to come downtown, enjoy the twinkling lights of the beautiful trees and wreaths throughout downtown before stopping by to enjoy the tree lighting on Thursday evening. Don’t forget to take your holiday photos in front of the tree before or after enjoying extended shopping hours and dinner out in downtown.

Train Rides at Griffin Insurance sponsored by the Statesville Civic Center - Train enthusiasts of all ages will love a ride on the Little Blue Choo, provided by the Statesville Civic Center. Adults and children alike are welcome to take a FREE ride:

• 6pm - 8pm

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides Sponsored by Griffin Insurance - The wonderful tradition of surrounding yourself with the sights and sounds of the holidays in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage ride through Downtown Statesville will continue this year. Carriage rides are available for purchase at HERE.
