Kids in America – Totally 80’s Tribute Band Rocks the Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Stage

Get ready to travel back in time at the upcoming 2024 Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series in Downtown Statesville, NC.  Join us next Friday, June 7, at 6pm, to party the night away with the iconic sounds of Kids in America – Totally 80’s Tribute Band sponsored by DENSO Manufacturing

Attendees can expect a high-energy performance that combines the biggest hits and deep cuts of the 80s, brought to life with authentic costumes, dynamic choreography, and engaging stage presence. From chart-topping anthems to nostalgic favorites, Kids in America delivers an experience that transcends mere performance, inviting the audience to sing along, dance, and relive the magic of the 80s.

The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series offers FREE entertainment to Statesville’s residents, neighbors, and visitors in Downtown Statesville from May through October and features music of all styles. The series is also made possible by the presenting sponsorship of Flow Automotive of Statesville. Whether you like the sound of decades past, Country, Blues or Rock and Roll, you’ll hear something you will enjoy dancing and singing along to!

The concerts are held in Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College from 6 – 8:30 pm. Beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, water, and food will be available for purchase beginning at 5pm.  Bring your chairs and enjoy a great night of music, but remember no pets, outside beverages, or coolers are allowed.

This year, each Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 concert will support a non-profit organization, offering them a booth to share information about their program and collecting donations on their behalf. We are excited to announce that this week's event will be dedicated to benefiting Statesville’s Juneteenth Celebration. This event is a time to celebrate diversity and inclusion with education and awareness for all people. For more information, visit or contact Valerie Chambers at 704-682-0982.

Start your evening by visiting the welcome tent sponsored by New Image Services and Randy Marion Automotive of Statesville at the entrance to purchase your tokens before heading over to the beverage tent!

Red Buffalo Brewing will be on hand pouring their well-loved Clocktower IPA, Blue’sberry Ale, Angry Brunette Black Ale, Center Street Ale, and Watermelon Seltzer.

Andrea’s Ice Cream & Sweet Shop along with Wilson’s Weenie Wagon and The Truk food trucks will be serving food, sweets, water & soft drinks.

A highlight of the concert will be a special appearance by balloonist Marsha Lambertson with her renowned Oz Balloon, courtesy of Key to Escape, celebrating their new Oz Escape Room. We extend our thanks to Mitchell Community College for providing their lawn for this fun-loving experience.
